Those of you who digitize, did you notice the new feature in Embird, you can save one pattern in many formats at the same time, saving you time!!!

I just purchased Embird 2013... my first embroidery digitizing ever! New to embroidery and enjoy all the "cuties". If any one has a good website they know of for folks who are new to embroidery/digitizing with Embird please send it my way with many thanks in advance.

As I said, this feature has been available for years. I loved it from the time I first bought Embird as my (then) 3D did not offer it (neither does 5D Pro).

Dolly, if you were not able to convert to more than one format at the time it could have been that you put a check mark in 'select only one format' - I do that when I want a test stitch and only save in more than one format when satisfied with the test.

That's not a new feature, even the 2008 version (the first I bought)had that feature, I loved it from the start as 3D did not offer it and neither does 5D. Nice when you have more than one brand of machine or want to upload in DBC.

There are no extras mentioned, so it is just a matter of getting rid of background bugs - nice enough. Mine froze every time I tried to change a setting too quickly. Hope that's cured now.

I should have mentioned the upgrade was 2013, the only thing I would get rid of is those pesky 'help' notes when you point the cursor over words, designs or design names, they drive me nuts he he but I'm happy with the update!

Dolly - Not sure what all is still the same in the new upgrade, but in my 2010 version of Embird, there is a way to eliminate those little hint boxes from popping up as you move the curser. Go to the "Options" on the top toolbar, click on "Show", and another menu opens. Uncheck the "Show Hints" option. If the 2013 version works the same way, this should get rid of those pesky little pop up boxes for you.

That would be a wonderful feature for those who sell their work, or those who digitize and post their designs for others here.

Are you referring to the latest upgrade of Embird ( for 2013 )? Have you already upgraded to this new version? If so, do you like it, and does everything seem to work well so far? Appreciate your input.
