I'm so excited. We were driving to Santa Cruz to visit my daughter, her boyfriend and his parents when I check Facebook and see that my niece is in labor. My niece and her husband are huge Disney and Star Wars fans so having the baby on May the 4 (May the force be with you) is really big for them. Anyway, we had a wonderful visit and on the way home I'm designing in my head how I'm going to make his birth announcement sampler. Bingo, my Disney machine is going to be put to great use. I will be using Pooh Bear hanging with the balloon and bees. The balloon will have the name and along the side will be the statistics. Now to design the lettering in my software. Eventually there will be pictures : )

Fun! My cousin had a child on May (force). They always make that cute comment. Have fun with "new baby" stuff. ;)

Artistic decision time. The balloon is at a slight angle. Should I tilt the name so it looks straight on the balloon or keep the name straight so it looks straight with the frame!

I would say to 'tilt the name' otherwise you may have people saying that the balloon is skewwhiff.

I think so too even though I don't know what skewwhiff is
: )

Sewmom it means according to google
"a...youth with a gorgeous red necktie all awry". Ha, ha
it's a British thing.

I don't know where google found it's 'youth with a gorgeous red necktie all awry' but in the English language skewwhiff simply means 'not straight.'

That makes sense.

Yes I too was inspired and a Pooh announcement is so perfect! I made a pooh thing years ago.. and recently a STout for a friend. It works that we can give them away!

Aren't they wonderful machines? I've got a Brother Quattro and just love it especially as I can legally do the Disney designs on our grand-children's things. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Congratulations to your niece hope all goes well for her. I love the quote from Star Wars. Love and blessings Chris
