Dear Friends,

Here is a recent photo of Ben and Nellie. They have been friends since they were babies and had the same kind of seizures - infantile spasms. Can you tell how much the adore each other? Ben has Koolen and FG syndromes, and is still quite disabled. God granted him a miracle and took his seizures away. Nellie, who has Multiple Sclerosis, still has severe seizures every day. She used to say "Mama" but can't any longer. She has the most loving heart and the sweetest smile you will ever know. Ben has just started noticing Nellie's seizures and is very worried about her. We have been praying for God to "put Nellie's seizures in the trash," just as we pray for Ben's fears to be put in the trash. Nellie will be 26 on April 24. Will you please join us in praying for Nellie? She needs a miracle too. If we could spread this around the world, share it with all your prayer warriors, it would be wonderful. " Please, dear God, put Nellie's seizures in the trash. Let her say "Mama" again" Amen
Thank you for helping us spread this special prayer request! Ben and Jan Wharton in Grand Lake, Colorado

It is really rare for both Nellie and Ben to make eye contact, and for them to make eye contact with each other is just amazing - and for me to get it on camera is the icing on the cake. She really can't talk at all anymore. He doesn't seem to know that though! Thank you all for praying for Nellie - people are sending this request all over the world! Our God is an Awesome God!

Hi, Jan,
Just got home from a short trip, and saw this picture of Ben and Nellie! It is so touching and full of feeling. Their sharing and caring is so obvious, and I truly believe they can see each other's heart through the window of the "eyes"! Perhaps, it is difficult to express their feelings with words, yet the strong bond is definitely there!
Sending up prayers for Nellie's seizures to stop. Hugs to you and Ben!
Angel

Special need individuals are just so darn lovable. Ben is so caring to be thinking of his friend and her health issues when he has many of his own. Blessings and prayers that these two young adults and their families can continue to overcome what they are faced with.

Apr 11, 2013 -- absolutely will pray for God to put Nelly's seizures in the trash and please say Mama again. And for Ben's worries to go in the trash as well.

I too am praying for Nellie. May she be rid of the seizures and be able to say Mama again. I have both her and Ben on my prayer list. Hugs, Mary

I've got tears in my eyes reading this Jan. How precious are our children and in God's eyes they are all miracles. May Nellie's miracle be granted and let's say AMEN (so be it!) to that. I agree with Jerrilyn, you can just feel the love and care emanating out of each of them. Love and blessings Chris

This picture stirs up so many feelings and experiences for me. I was a Special Needs teacher and still love my 'kids'. This is a picture to treasure of two very special people. Both are now on my prayer list.

He sings to her, and she reaches up and touches his face. She likes it when he has stubble - LOL!
