I hope this okay to post this in Personal as it has absolutely nothing to do with embroidery or sewing. Just love and faith and living a real life.

I was so proud of Ben. We have a friend who is just a little older than Ben: they both had infantile spasms. Nellie has Tuberous Sclerosis, and has continued to have seizures, while Ben doesn't have them anymore. While we were visiting with Nellie and her Mom last week, she had a couple of really hard seizures, which Ben saw and was concerned about. Then on Monday night he was gently crying in bed. When I went in and asked him what was wrong. He sobbed, "Nellie." I asked, "What about Nellie?" "Nellie..... Nellie... has has has has has has has lots of seiz seiz seiz seiz seiz .... seizures." There is this guy, with all of his own challenges, sobbing about his dear friend Nellie, and her challenges. I know lots of "typical" people who don't show that kind of true caring. We prayed for Nellie and that the seizures would go away. And just like we pray to put Ben's fears "in the trash" Ben asked God to put "Nellie's seizures in the trash." How sweet is that? Love you all, Jan

I have tears running down my face after reading this. To me its obvious that Ben doesn't view himself with challenges and shows his concern for his dear friend. He truly is a very remarkable young man with parents who are there for him every step of the way. Bless you all and I pray that they are able to help Nellie with her seizures. Hugs Jerri

Just read your heartwarming post. I agree with you here, there are people that don't have this loving feeling, and they are the ones with the 'problem'. Good for dear sweet Ben.Love to you and yours,Toogie

Love to read of such love and concern after all the horrible things on the news. I hope that the doctors can find a way to control Nellie's seizures.

Tell Ben he gets to be Jesus with skin on for Nellie. If love and goodness would cure the seizures, her's should be gone quickly. What wonderful parents Ben has to raise a young man with such a tender heart.

Jan, when you told the story about Ben's condition a few years ago you brought tears to my eyes. Once again you have managed to do that. What a remarkable son you have. His love and concern for his friend should be an inspiration to us all. I know you and your husband are very proud of Ben but as parents you should also be very proud of yourselves. Hugs..Carol

Dear Jan, These are the moments -- that make it all worth the effort. It seems Ben still has the pure love we should all be striving for. You are an excellent mom! Hug your wonderful child for me!
Hugs to you also. I wish I could afford the fuel to give the hugs in person. One day...

Someday we are going to have that hug! Shall we meet in Grand Junction?

That would be awesome! I will have to see if we get a vacation this year -- downside of owning a business.... :(
Although, we do love going to National Parks -- so it could happen!

That is so beautiful but only what one would expect from someone with such a pure heart as Ben. God bless his sweet soul.
My niece Natalie has epilepsy and suffers severe grand mal seizures, so, sadly, they are no strangers to this Cutie.

Please tell Ben I think he rocks!!!
Hugs and love to Nellie and Ben. Meg

Dear Jan - Ben is such a very special boy and to care so much for Nellie is just wonderful. I think that 'Personal' is just the place for family business. I love hearing all about the Cuties and their families.
Lots of hugs to Ben and his very special mother. Sarah.
