It could be a version issue. I have an older brother so I have been downloading the hus files and converting them to pes using Wilcom. this usualy resolves any problems.
use something like 5d or a program to convert them .There are many free ones out their that will do this ok hugs carolyn
yes, some designs will not open for me too. But in that case I convert them to Hus and my PE design, or Buzz tools, opens it in that case and makes it a Pes format again. perhaps this will work for you too?
There are various versions of the PES format, they keep updating it, and sometimes the newer versions aren't able to be read by older machines. Support here at Cute Embroidery has been notified, and the problem is being worked on. I've added a link to another post with more information on this problem. So sorry, but sometimes with all the different formats and software updates, glitches happen. We're trying to correct the problem. My suggestion would be to understand that sometimes mistakes and glitches happen, and the PES downloads weren't singled out to be faulty on purpose to annoy people who use that format. As a newbie, please understand that the forum here is meant to provide help to each other as much as we can, and a place for congenial community. We like to keep it friendly as possible. Your problem with the PES format would have better been placed in the "Embroidery" or " Q&A" section, where you would be likely to get more help and information, since it is a specifically embroidery related comment. It's also very helpful to read all the answers to questions other people ask that may have a problem similar to yours. Sometimes that will give you an answer without having to make a post of your own. I hope this link can further answer your question, and that the problem with the format types can be resolved without too much delay. Thanks, MarjiAlexa, moderator (1 of 4)
The site owner is working on the problem. This site has been under re-construction without shutting down. I am sure the issue will be resolved soon. I am able to get the .pes and use them. I use Chrome. I don't have Wilcom but I have transferred a design directly from downloads to my (older model but updated for Windows 7) Esante BLN without issue. I don't know why .pes downloads work for some and not others. That is what they are looking into.
Try to be patient.
