UPDATE ON JOSHUA

It was decided that Joshua would have his operation yesterday afternoon instead of at the end of the month. He was in surgery of nearly three hours. I spoke to him last night and he sounded good. They had given him an epidural so his leg was still numb. It was late so my daughter had not had a chance to speak to the surgeon. I really hope that this is the last op he will have to have and that they have managed to clear all the infection.
Thank you all for your continuous good wishes. Sarah.

Sarah all the best for Joshua. So many surgeries in that short time is a lot stress for the body. Hope they had cut all out now and it can heal...
Greetings, Bettina

Thank you for the update, I was wondering how he was. I know that you all must be glad that the surgery is over and that the infectious poison will be out of his body now. Tell him one day at time........Continued prayers for healing and then end of his leg problems. ;)

Thank you Chris and Anita. He is having to stay another night in hospital. Emma spoke to the surgeon this morning and it was a bigger op than expected, with a rod inserted through the bone from the knee to the ankle. 7 ops in 10 months. Poor old Josh. I will speak to Josh later to find out how he is doing. He is supposed to be back at school on Monday but I cannot see that happening. Thank you both for your concern. Sarah.

Hi Sarah,

I do hope that Joshua is now over all of the operations. So many for such a young lad. I suppose it is now lots of physical therapy to help to get it mobile again. Love Chris

Those epidurals are so strange wearing off. So pleased that they moved up his surgery. It's done and he don't have to think about anything but recovery now. Is he having to miss any school? I know it runs different months than here in the U.S. Praying that this gets him up on his foot quicker and no more surgeries.
