The Pink Slipper Project is offering a free easy one seam rag slipper. The pattern shows women's size. Cute, quick, and would be a welcomed gift for someone in the hospital or to donate to shelters. An embroidery design on the toe would be beautiful.

Thank you for the link. I just forwarded this info. to my RS Pres @ church and, my quilt guild about doing an activity like this for our area.
Something sew simple to bring a little happiness . Our quilt guild has been making dog/cat beds with scraps of fabric so I know they would love to make these. Thank you again.

I've dropped off yarn and fabric to the senior center and nursing home and a pile of towels to the humane society. There is so much we can do with our leftovers or slightly used items to benefit humans and pets.

Didn't realize the need until we donated some items and found out that the women especially leave without anything and there were many items for the children. They are also given a voucher to go to a local thrift store to choose five or ten items. They give those voucher also to those that have a disaster like fire loss.

I read on the homepage that they are suspending the project do to the illness of the organizer. I didn't see anywhere that she was well enough to continue the project again.

I didn't see that. We have lots of stitch outs that could be made into fancy slippers for those in need. Can be donated locally in anybody's area.

Your welcome. I have left nice clothing at our local shelter as they arrive usually without anything and need to look for a job.
