Prayers for all of you to be well: you, Jim and your embroidery machine:>)
I just do a little of the knit stitch and pearl , But I rather be hand quilting so have never given it enough practice to be able to do anything, and taking out is the pits but you will be glad you did it once it is redone. a star for you! get well soon.
Vicky for the next stop of your machine at the repairshop try better these beatiful handembrodiery. I'm too unpatient for that (also for knitting and I was famous once for carying my yarn with my all the time at school ;-). Aren't those designs wonderful? Those effects you cannot get with the embroiderymachine...
Greetings, Bettina
Just saw this post. Hope all is well in your world now! I admire you for ripping it OUT and not ripping it TO PIECES!
Hug and good thoughts coming your way. I thought about you yesterday wondering if you were better.
Thanks, Christine....caught your hug and I will throw one back saturated with lysol...LOL!!
ACK! I hate it when that happens. I hope you feel better soon.
How frustrating. I was just crocheting in the car and did about 3 rows of a baby blanket. I decided I didn't like the way it was turning out so I started over with my own stitch variation. Better to start over after 3 rows than 130 rows!
My daughter just finished an afghan for herself and had some yarn leftover. She said it would be better if "grandma" made a matching baby blanket and she gave it to me. No matter that there are no babies, or husbands, in sight. LOL
LOL, Sewmom!! I was going to stop this pattern 1/2 way through, but saw it to the end, figuring it would make sense as I went along......Never did!! I taught myself how to knit and I knit left handed (even though I am right handed), so I think sometimes I get confused with the edges the pattern is talking about.....
I cannot believe that a knitting pattern has got the better of you. You knit such amazing things my friend. Think you have done the right thing to throw the pattern away. LOL. So sorry to hear that you are both still under the weather. JUST GET WELL SOON. Love and Hugs Sarah.
Hi Sarah, dear!! 2 of our 3 hospitals were on "diversion" over the weekend due to no beds left because of flu cases. It is kind of scary, as that has never happened here before. I am feeling better and Jim is working on getting his voice back and hopes he can sing with his quartet on Sunday for a 93 year olds birthday party! Hope all things are well for you & your family! I questioned this pattern the whole way through, and kept thinking that as I knitted it would start to make sense....it never did!! Love & hugs to you too!!!!
This is so frustrating. I would have taken the pieces to a local yarn shop to see what they could make out of them and the pattern. At least you can wind the yarn into a ball and try to make something else with it.
Yep, that is just what I did with it......have started a new sweater with a pattern that is complete!!
I am so sorry about you being still under the weather. I hope you feel better soon. Next time you encounter a bad pattern send me a PM. After 12 years of having had a yarn shop I usually can figure out the mistake.
Now get better soon
Oh wow...I will!! And thank you for the offer of help! I have started a new sweater using the unraveled yarn from the screwed up one and so far so good!!
Big Bib fat hugs from your ole friend Carolyn (PRAYING FOR U TO) Hugs
I've been sick too since a week before Christmas and my embroidery machine fell apart before Christmas as well. I stewed so much I went out an bought a used machine just to get my "fix" LOL
Now, I am freaking out 'cause the USB might be broken and I still can't stitch out the designs from my computer. It IS so difficult! I feel your pain. Hugs and flowers for you.
They say misery loves company, but I hate to hear you are in the same boat as I am!!!!! Hope you are feeling better soon and that your machine gets "feeling better" as well! I am seriously thinking of a 2nd machine...watching "craigslist"......Big hug back!
Oh that is so maddening, Just hang in there and try to get your health back in shape so that we are ready, willing and able to hug that machine when it comes back
take care
Hugs
