Well, whilst sitting here this afternoon in 40+C degree heat and with perspiration dripping down my face and trickling down my back into you know where - I've finally finished the quilt for my niece.

Good news - I rang Jean and she said she would do it for me in time for Amy to take it down to Canberra for the 2nd February. I am so relieved and will drop it off to the shop on Monday. Jean will collect it on Thursday and have it returned within the time frame. Love and blessings Chris

iful quilt Chris , your such a champ sewing on such a HOT day , we are at Shell Harbour in our van and it was sooooo hot all I could do was lay on the bed and drink watertoday is much better

Its beautiful Chris. I am sure your niece will love it, even if it isn't finished on time. I would give it to her as is, so she sees it. Then take it to the quilter if your unable to before her birthday.

Thanks Anita, that was her main fabric choice - something Paisley! So I decided to use it as the border. I will put a dark purple binding on it if I have any left! Love and blessings Chris
