minnie, what wonderful news - baby designs are all over the place - bib's - burp clothes - hats - blankets - booties - quilts - onsie's - shirts - pants - tops of all kinds - dresses - diaper bags - you name what a baby might need and you can find a design to go on it. You will have a ball making things for this little miracle. *4U

Congratulations. Not sure of the weather in Brisbane but my daughter loved the sleeper sacs. With sleeper sac you don't have to have your eyes open very wide in the middle of the night to change a diaper. :) She also loves the larger receiving blankets I make (approx 44x44) The larger size really wraps the baby from head to toe. I too hope it is a girl but you will love it whether it is a boy or a girl.

this is a great blessing for you all and it is lovley to have good news. If it is a girl you can make a bonnet from a hankie and you sew it with hand stitches and then when she marries she has it for that special day so she has it at birth then her naming or baptisim and then undone for any other special occasion throughout her life. And for a boy the same but then he can give it to his wife on her special day. There is a little poem that goes with this i will have to hunt it down though.

Oh How wonderful! I am so thrilled for you and truly understand the "miracle" as my DIL was the same & everyone was surprised when, after 10 years married, her bout of flu resulted in my "miracle" Grandson. Congratulations and may you be blessed with a healthy, happy Grandchild. hugs n roses, Meganne

minnieb by minnieb 27 May 2008

what is a Quillow and how did you do the pic

mpo14011 by mpo14011 28 May 2008

a QUILLO is a quilt which, when folded , turns into a pillow. If you look on the web you might get some free patterns. The picture can be printed with your printer if you a bubble jet printer on special fabric.Or you could do it with Bubble Jet 2000, It is very simple. If you need more instructions e-mail me.You can also get information of the net.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!Hope everything goes well. When my first grandson was born I made my daughter a really big bag to put all his stuff in----nappies, bibs, change of clothes etc.

minnieb by minnieb 28 May 2008

WONDERFUL NEWS!! My daughter is 24 weeks pregnant, isn't it wonderful? I'm making a quilt for her, and I also buy plain white vests, sleep suits and bibs much cheaper than patterned ones and then embroider cute baby pics and sayings on them. Does she know the sex of the baby? My daughter didn't want to know so we are expecting a surprise! Do keep us posted!
Love

we not sure of sex she wouln't move so they could see.
My daughter lost her best friend at the same time she must have fell preg so she hopes its a girl to name her after her, she has a long stay in hospital so we went and bought the basics for her I got plain stuff for same reason. Now I have to look for lots of designs.do you have COTTON ON where you live.they have great basic stuff.I have never made a quilt yet, this will be fun ,I have 2 grandsons from my son so a girl would be great ,but we just hope mummy and baby are fine
