I don't feel very thankful today. It's a sad week at my house. We had a pet dwarf rabbit. He didn't act quite right so my husband took him to the vet ysterday morning. He somehow got an abcess in bis upperlip. The vet kept him there to remove it. They called and said we could go pick him up a couple hours later. When my husband brought him home and went to remove him from his carrier he was dead! What a shock. Now at 6 this morning I heard my husband yelling wake up Jake wape up. Our English bulldog died. These were 2 of my husband's best friends. It is so sad and depressing.

So sad. I can sympathize. Our guinea pig died earlier this year, and I still have his picture as my computer wallpaper. I say good morning and good night to him everyday, and his brother really misses him, too.

I understand your grief as it is terrible to lose our furry friends, no matter how suddenly or how prolonged their illness.
They have given you love and endless joy over the years so if nothing else, be thankful you had the opportunity to have had them to love and care for, regardless of the length of their lives.
Every day we have is a blessing, some days may be diamonds, some days may be stone, but if you wake up each morning, you are blessed and have a reason to be thankful. I hope you will soon feel more positive and uplifted. Hugs and blessings, Meg

Sorry to hear of your losses, but there is always something to be thankful for. Be thankful neither one endured a long illness - the quickness is a blessing in disguise.

Not to diminish in any way, your grief, but, it could have been a LOT worse! And, you DO have reasons to be thankful today, inspite of these terrible losses. You and your hubby still have each other, and hopefully each have no dreadful, fatal or debilitating diseases!! Sorry for your sadness, but, you DO have so much to be thankful for! Hoping you get your spirits uplifted soon and have more positive feelings! Life isn't fair, but it is still GOOD!!
Hugs to YOU!

Oh shame!! I am sorry to hear of your loss and I feel for you. The only consolation is that your bully did not suffer as it appears that he died in his sleep. Please remember all their funny and happy lttle ways and allow yourselves to talk about it.It does help to ease the heartache a little. Hugs and a little prayer for the two of you.

My heart goes out to you and your hubby. I used to have an english angora rabbit as my pet and it was very hard for me when she died.
Just remember the good times and give special thanks for them. If you
are in America, then tommorow is a very special day to give thanks for
all of our blessings past and present. I think you will find so many that it will help with your grief. In a little time new furry bundles of joy may join your family again to love and hug. In the meantime hugs for you.

Susan I'm so sorry to read that bad news. Feel your loss. Had to put our mouse to sleep 2 weeks ago cause he had a terrible tumor abdominally. He was our last pet with fur (after 30 years with cats I'm allergic since 5 years). It's always so sad...
Hugs, Bettina

what a sad story. Two of your dear friends gone. What was the reason of your dog ? Was it old ? Take care of your selves and know you gave them a good home, and share them in your memories.

Our bulldog would have been 12 years old on Dec. 10th. So yes he was old
