Any inexpensive ideas for quick, inexpensive baby shower gifts? I have been invited to two showers, both for twins in the next two weeks??

2 boys, and the other 1 boy 1 girl?

Thank you all, You have given me some great ideas. I think I will run to Walmart tomorrow and see what they have to be embroidered on.. I don't know any of the names but I have some good ideas for designs. I will post them when I finish. Darlene

Great ideas ladies!! If you are really pressed for time, buy something and personalize it if possible or put appropriate on an item.

What about embroidering names and dates of birth on a cushion, for each child, Or put in a photo frame, slighty less expensive.

Twins - what blessings your friends have on the way. I have two sets of twin girls, aged 7 and 9 - they are a wonderful blessing

Smallest size onesie/jumpsuits were always useful. Put a small design on the front.

Burp cloth out of cloth diapers with design and lace or ribbon on the edge. Bibs are always nice like blankets. Also the the baby wipes travel packs are nice You can cover with Chenille (baby colors I got at Hobby Lobby) after embroidering an Initial and add gemp trim around the edges. Great gift. Mothers love. hope this helps. A flower for you.

I make hooded towels with name if I have it. Takes 1 bathtowel & 1/2 hand towel. They are GREAT as the baby gets bigger! My 6 yr. old grand still uses hers. Embrodery on short end of 1/2 hand towel, seam up cut that's made in middle of handtowel. Find center on SIDE of bathtowel, line up seam on hand towel, sew it on along the edge. Be careful that right sides are together! The only raw seam is the cut one, and that I overlock before I sew it up. Kohls has great deals on their BIG ONE bath towels often. Also put something..duck, frog, whatever..with the name.

Check out the projects and see what all has been done - burp cloths are pretty inexpensive, made from prefolded diapers, and you can add what you want - we can get 12 for $11.57 at our Walmart store. I had problem finding baby bibs without designs, but was able to do a few. I have had many babies to do for this year, and did a couple burp clothes for each, added a bib or two, and for a couple the fleece blanket.

If you sew I would echo the flannel baby blanket. I make mine 44x44 and call them toddler blankets. They cover the entire baby when they are this size. AND if you fold the cornners into the middle (making a smaller square) then you can use the blanket as wrapping paper for a bib or onesie or a package of wipes by just placing your gift in the center where all the corners meet. Just add curly ribbon and ta-da gift wrapped.

Darlene, an embroidered bib would be great - everyone can use them. Wow, two sets of twins, that is neat. *4u

I recently got some cute FSL baby designs that would be great for a gift tag, too!

A good med weight flannel cut to a receiving blanket size, serge around the edges and embroidery in the corner. Burp cloths with special embroidery, Small quilt if you quilt, But a new mother can never have to many burp cloths and with twins on the way double the need. flower for you

I have seen quite a number of burp cloths in the projects, and bibs, onesies, little t-shirts, a bit more expensive gifts like baby blankets, crib sheets, hooded towels and far more elaborate ones as baby quilts. Embroider some cute design add a coupon for a free embroidery of the name. Flower for you.
