I saw this really cute owl design on another forum and had to have it. So I found that the design was from Just Peachy. I ordered the design and paid by Paypal. I received the design and it stitches out great.

Then I receive the following email from the owner of the website:

"Hello! I noticed you bought a design from me and then filed a claim with paypal saying you didn't do it. I see from your page you like my facebook page as well as other digitizers. Shame on you for being dishonest!!! I have reported you to paypal. I will be sending all of your information I have from the website and facebook to all other digitizers to tell them to BEWARE of you. This is theft and I will not stand by and watch you rip me or others off!!! "

I could not figure out what this was about so I contacted Paypal. Paypal was doing random checks on transactions checking for fraud so they put the transaction on hold. Poor way of handling things on the part of Paypal, but what a shocking email to receive from Just Peachy. I never put the transaction on hold, so why make a terrible accusation against me when Paypal is the one that intiated the hold on the transaction not me!!!

I am just furious

If its the same person that is selling on Etsy and her own site, I'd stay away from her because of her selling copyrighted designs.

Well to date I did not receive a response to my email to Just Peachy. Also got confirmation from Paypal that they also send her an email.

I was really upset about this yesterday, but now realize that she is not worth any more thought

Absolutely right. Apparently not a person with character if she sells illegal stuff. She is not worth any thoughts on your part. Have a peaceful day.

Questions?
Could other dishonest people be the cause of this misunderstanding. Could one order a design, receive it and then withold payment?
I have never bought online but it sounds like scary stuff can happen.
I did overhear a Bank manager saying to a customer not to use his (unlimited) credit card online with Pay-pal.Must be problematic.
Hope you get an apology.

A positive experience is shared with a few friends. A negative experience is shared with the masses. I think that regardless of what happened, Just Peachy should have investigated prior to sending such a degrading email. Now they get to reap the rewards/consequences of jumping the gun and trashing a paying customer. Their "reward" will come in the form of a reduced bottom line. After seeing this, while I have never heard of them, I will remember this, and doubtfully ever order from them for fear of having the same thing happen to me.
Paypal should make the whole thing right, and some WRITTEN apologies need to be issued ASAP!
And BEWARE of Just Peachy! Sad....

Is it the same Just Peachy that is on Ets? I looked at her designs and seems like she is selling copywrited (at least name and look of) Superman, Hello Kitty & Elmo. Shame on her, if this is the same digitizer.

That should be Etsy.

I looked again and it looks like she has her main site and Etsy site, copywrited items on her main site (but the names are changed) and copywrited designs on her Etsy site with well know names. Hhhmmm...not cool.

I think Paypal is getting too big for its britches, though, having said that, I can honestly say I have never had a problem with any payments being put on hold. In the past Paypal used to be paper tigers when it came to making legitimate complaints about shoddy, misrepresented goods and I have lost money that way but your problem needs attending to immediately.
Paypal does have an online, instant message, personal contact support service, it's talking online to a service officer in real time and carries more weight than just sending emails. I would go to your Paypal account and try to locate it, frustrating, but it is there.
I hope you have written to Just Peachy, in a calm and collected manner, and explained the situation to her.
Yes, she does owe you an apology, but PAYPAL owes you and her, an even bigger one. They really have NO RIGHT to put a transaction on hold without the consent of the participating parties.
IMO it is all about money....
Hypothetical situation: imagine all the transactions taking place every day, then imagine they put 1% of them on hold, with the money sitting in their, short term, high interest, 24 hour money market, investment account..... well, now try and calculate the interest they would receive on even that lowly 1% of daily transactions. "Small fish are the sweetest"
I'll say no more.

Just starting out in the embroidery website area, I can truely understand how you must be feeling. My first (and only) sale from my site was sent back to the customer by PayPal - very similar situation. Then when I contacted them they said it was because I had not "accepted" the transaction (if I had know about it, I would have!). Never recieved anything!

So I have contacted the person, but until now, no response. Quess they get the designs plus get to keep the $$. Sure has not been a good start it seems! I want to have a "customer friendly" sight and not a "customer frustrated/fury" one. Customer service is so important, especially now a days with all the things on the internet, etc.

That is just a horrible thing to happen and I can understand how you must feel being accused of something you did not do. I have never heard of that site and now I won't go near it. Hugs Sarah.

I can understand your fury, that's awful. She owes you an apology and should make it right with everyone else that she was going to contact!

I understand that you would be upset however I think it should be against Paypal. As a former owner of a shop I can sympathize with the owner of Just Peachy. She thinks you stopped payment. I would request PayPal to send a letter clarifying their actions. Hopefully once "Just Peachy" realizes what happened she will apologize as well. I really feel it is Pay Pals fault for not letting her know in the first place.

Seems like someone may have jumped to the wrong conclusion to me. Big misunderstanding. I hope you get a nice apology when it's realised that it was not your doing. If you'd not heard from the site since you advised that it was not your doing, it might have been better to delay naming them here...

Sounds like very bad customer service/relations if you ask me. That is truly not a good way to treat a paying customer.

I don't blame you for being furious. I have transactions put on hold from time to time, I have never thought for a minute that it was the customers doing. I don't know why some people are so rude. especially to paying customers.
