Lovely - I have the same pattern but it is still in packet; may get it out now and have a go; I have just been informed that I am to be a great grandmother in January for the first time, to a little boy
Oh My! This is spectacular, Cindy B. What a special creation and I love your model! Your family will treasure this forever :-)
Thank you so much. The model belongs to my daughter who is hiding under the blue material, she did not want to be in the picture

Wow, Cindy, it looks like you have been doing it all of your life! ;)
Thank you jrob. I have never made this elaborate outfit before, so I took my time and practiced the pleats and pin-tucks on scraps of material to get them just right.
Beautiful Cindy - this will end up being an heirloom.
Well done. Sarah.
Thank you Sarah. It is very similar to the Baptism gown we used for our children. My GGM was a seamstress and hadmade one for her first grandchild in 1908. That all of her grand-children were baptized in also great grand children and the Great Great grandchildren 18 babies in all and the 19th we be this Oct. My two year old grandson was the last child and now the next child will be my sisters first grandchild. 104 year sanning3 generations.
Wow, it's beautiful, you have done a great job!

This is just lovely, surely a labor of love.
Are you embroidering the child's name and baptism date anywhere on the dress? One hundred years from now it would be interesting to see how many children wore it and that it has been passed along to.
Cindy, you did a fantastic job on this baptismal gown!! This will be treasured as a keepsake for sure!!
Hugs,
Angel
