Lengthen the shoulder seam line on the back of the shirt. You may have to add to the sleeve cap and the collar to allow for the extra length.
thank you cuties i have several things to try will let you know of the outcome...soozie

Try this and see if it works. I don't know why it doesn't work to post in links.
Cynthia Guffey did a segment on Its Sew Easy TV that might help you. I wasn't able to find that segment, but I've attached a video of someone using a person as a response and tutorial to that video. I hope this helps some. I wouldn't have identified this without a little help from a pro. Good luck with your fitting.
I've given another link that you can copy and paste. This one doesn't work either.
I have seen tops and bodices that have small weights sewn into the neckline to keep them in place...i.e., weight them down. Some have been sewn into little pockets and then attached to ribbons so you can tuck them into your upper under garments. I thought this was very clever!
Hi Soozie, I saw an episode on this, On "It's sew easy" I could find the youtube, but did find this tut from "Threads" good luck
I have that problem too, and I have found that I need to add some fabric at the back neckline becuase my neck slopes (beginnings of a hump) and pulls backward. So I have to add a bit (about 1/2")at the center back neck, but also curve it in a bit to allow for the slope in my neck. Easy to do with facings, but I haven't tried it with a collared top yet.
