882The fabric is laid face down and flipped after stitching so that there is a double layer of fabric which you can trap batting or interfacing in if you wish. I like to do it this way as it gives a neater finish around the zip with no stitching showing.
The white fabric will be the keyboard and flips to the right of the zip.

I'm sorry Sue but still confused. I put the largest piece against the left side for color 4 as I did for color 3. Color 5 did not stitch any fabric down only gave me a straight line So I guess I have the fabric wrong. Also I still dont get at what point I add the white fabric

Colour 5 holds the white keyboard fabric in place and acts as a placement line for the last piece of fabric.
