What is the oldset thing you have embroidered on ? Last week I was having a clean out of linen cupboard and came a across a teatowel I had in my ,"Glory Box" now it has to be 47/48 years old , pure linen , so I thought hmmmmmm what shall I put on this , well I did modern lge flowers it turned out wonderful , my daughter was here over the week end and wanted to know were I got the get big tea towels , she just loved it I also used Mederia thread I would of had for 20 years to to the embroidery . talk about stashing things. See, that is why I never throw anything out. You just never know when you'll want to use it! At least that's what I tell my husband.

Embroiderthis.com has some 100% Large cotton teatowels for $3-44 each. They are a decent size as most tea towels you buy these days are getting smaller. Emvroider this has all sorts of linen blanks for embroidery and also a lot of FREE embroidery designs. hugs Joyce

I made a clutch purse for evening use from a piece of black velvet that was left over from an evening dress my mother made for herself before she was married (she was married in Feb 1941). I embroidered roses on it and love the feel of the velvet when I use the purse.
