I think a small plaque with a sweet saying on it would be nice. Make it something that shows how you feel about her such as good friend or someone special. This was very nice of her to share her "stash"! Hope everything is alright!
Great friend. Looks as though you'll be busy for quite a while before using all this up. I'm sure your friend is not expecting you to gift her so make something you know she'll enjoy.
Maybe make her an ITH little zipper bag and give her a gift card to a restaurant! What a wonderful friend to give you all of that wonderful fabric.
A nice padded quilted tote bag. Can never have enough of these.
what a wonderful friend you will have fun working out what to make with all these goodies...soozie
You could make her some great 10 minute table runners - one for each season. It must have felt so good to have your good friend give you such a wonderful and useful gift.
Well since C/mas is comming and she is so special i would make her a cmas table runner that she can use year after year and think of you and smile and say 'My Friend" make me this yearsssss ago lol hugs carolyn
Thank you very much, Chris, for the apron pattern link.
I would make a a nice bookcover for her Bible or her telephone book. Using some of the material she gave you, so generously (you are sooo spoiled lol) will show her your appreciation. Hope you feel better soon. ****
What a nice thing for her to do. I agree with the others. Make her something that she could use- hot pads, pin cushions????
Finish something she started. Embroidery and make a nice throw pillow. Lots of things are possible. I know your gratitude because recently I had a friend unable to quilt anymore who gave me all her stash./Lillian
How nice of her. I'm big on pillow cases. Easy to make.
Jo
such a lovely friend, you can try to make her something like a little bag or pillow by using some of these. She will love it to see you used her material. Hugs for you:)
Oh you are a lucky girl...I think a patch purse will be nice.
What a very nice friend you have. Hope you are doing just fine. Juanita
Yes she is a gem. We have known each other for 35 years. Shared lots of Joy and sorrow, laughter and tears.
Take her out to breakfast and give her a gift made with some of the beautiful fabric.
Good additions to your stash, Cindy. I'd be inclined to make her a bag that she could use -perhaps one of those fabrics might supply the lining. You would know better what she might like. You probably helped her with a cleanout, as well :)
What a special friend she is indeed. I bet you will find something special and make it just for her, as if the fabric and the project are calling you to do it - when you are able and not before.
Great assortment of fabric! Lucky you! There are many things you could make for her as a thank you - I'm sure she's not expecting anything, but that would be a nice suprize!
Any way you want! Make a few things, something will be just right! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Apparently you have a really good friend and to have a really good friend, you must BE a really good friend. I suspect you must be. ;)
Dear Cindy, that's a great gift from your friend. I love all the Christmas coloured fabrics. Maybe make her a Christmas apron! DIY Dish has a great design. Love Chris
Hi Alice, they are great, aren't they? I'm sitting here doing one as I write this! Love Chris
thanks for the apron url I really like that pattern. great idea for Christmas
What a great friend. She surely knew how to cheer you up and her timing was perfect.
You are a lucky girl. I am sure your friend isn't looking for pay back but I would make her something lovley from these fabrics. Hugs Joyce
I'm sure she wasn't expecting anything! A neat wall hanging for the season would be nice if you want to do something. Or table runner. So many seasonal things coming up soon!! And you are lucky to have such a great friend!!
