I spent several hours at the County Fair and strolled through the fiber exhibits. Lots of beautiful projects. Something that really caught my eye was the 3D paper decoupage art! The fair is celebrating 100 years so there were a lot of exhibits that showed the history of the fair. Here are some samples of what I saw.

1. & 2. 3D paper decoupage art
3. Memory Quilt using Boy Scout patches
4. Various art mediums
5. & 6. Crazy Quilt
7. Christmas pieces
8. Miniatures
9. Quilt
10. Purple Crochet Scarf and other purple items.
11. Working Lego city. Now that was just fun!
12. The Saddle Rack Fire Engine. (They are form a local bar.) They also brought the mechanical bull you could ride. I did not ride.

The Los Angeles County Fair is very nice to stroll through too but I have never seen the paper scene.
I wonder how it is done. So intricate and beautiful.

I was told it was hundreds of layers of decoupaged paper. If you are not familiar with decoupage, it is paper glued down and covered in shellac.

I love your t-shirt. I made one for my daughter when she left for college back east. I had tshirts from pixIes( before brownies) all throught the next 18 years. My older daughters husband love it so he made a
t shirt quilt out of my older daughter and his party shirts from their college days at UCSB....I just love him...great memories

Thank you but this is not my quilt. It is one I saw at the fair. My quilt (my daughter's) is in the cutting stage right now.

The computer told me there was a "message query error" so I resubmitted. That's why there are 2 posts.
