I'm another cutie in Arkansas and I'm soo tired of 105
heat. Our pastures are a pretty shade of brown. Had to put a round bale of hay out for the cattle. Have never had to feed hay in July. I can't keep the garden watered enough. I'm so ready for fall and winter. Hugs..Carol
I am in Pineville, NC at the edge of Charlotte and we have had some 104 days, that is just too hot for me. I have been in doors for days. For those of you that love the heat, enjoy and for others keep on chilling out.
Xoxo, Jo Ann
I hear thunder as I write, maybe it will rain and cool down. I am so sorry for those that lost so much in the wildfires.
Where in MN. do you live? I live in Sartell I have been sewing quilt squares for a throw. Trying to use up fabric so I don't feel guilty buying more.
Dee, I used to live in Sartell, lol. I have a daughter living there still. Now I live in Milaca. I too am trying to use up some of my fabric, but sort of a miracle that won't happen very soon. I have about 30+ bins of material to try and use up.
Inherited about 1/3 of what I have.
Since the temperatures have been so high lately here is something just for fun and for folks to be able to convert from Fahrenheit to Celsius, here is a site to do that for you.
http://www.manuelsweb.com/temp.ht...
Enjoy.
Here in Arkansas USA Hot is just part of it. The entire state is in a wildfire warning. Plenty of heat, no rain , crumbly grass. I just stay in the air conditioned office most of the day.
hugs, Bonnie
My GOD!
Here in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) when it reaches 50 °,'' and go crazy with so much heat ... I imagine a heat of 100 ° ... Uf!!
I think some of us are Celsius and some are Fahrenheit.....75F is just lovely while 75C would be 167F !! Hotter 'n heck!!
Where in the state do you live? I'm between Grand Rapids and Bemidji. We were hit with 80 miles an hour winds Monday might. lots of trees down and damage. Early tonight high winds and some hail, but cooler now and still. Hopefully cool off some.
I am more towards the Minneapolis/st paul area... in a little community called Moundsview
Guess you will have to move to the north eastern half of the state where Lake Superior keeps us at a mild 72 today, with lake breezes all day.
Oh but your winters put me in a deep freeze, although that would feel pretty good right now. lol. Was at Traverse City to a fmly reunion on the bay on the 4th of July a couple of yrs ago. They put me in a chair in the sun and wrapped me in a quilt while there were others turning blue swimming in the bay. LOL
I lived on the north shore of Superior for 14 years. Loved the summers but the winters were brutal!
I could do with some heat 6 degrees in Melbourne at the moment hope it warms up later in morning probably get to 14 degrees
We still had fog over this side of town by noon and later today, so it's very slow to warm up!
Just 3 days ago it was 110 in the shade of my front porch here in Alabama/Lillian
What day was that! It was a mild 104 in the shade on the front porch the other day. Where in Alabama are you? I am North, in Huntsville.
I am in Huntsville too. When i got into my car the other day the internal heat read at 115! Had to leave the door open for awhile til i could get in and start the AC
Yes I hear the whole country is going through a heat wave. In California we are due to heat up next week again to 100's in Valleys. I agree humidity just makes heat miserable. So pool or Air conditioning. Today its lovely at 87 and breezy.
Just cooking steaks on the barbecue and checking my
emails and cute.
I live in Minnesota too, this is not weather we are used to dealing with and the 100% humidity to start the day off sure isn't helping any especially with the unusally high dew points to top that off. We don't have central air or air conditioning so we are sitting in front of fans or going down into the basement to cool off. Sure glad its only a few days during the summer we have todeal with this humidity and heat combo! I hope you are staying cool and safe! Don't forget to drink lots of Water!
Hugs and flowers
Diane
I'm in Windsor, Ontario and today with the temp and humidex, it's like 46'C (115'F) with possibility of severe weather in the evening. We have been breaking heat temps here too and no break in site for the next week either. Thank goodness for air conditioning. Had no power for 12 hrs yesterday and it was nuts how hot the house was.
I am in Arizona USA and we had been having 110+ degrees lately - Today, though, we are very cloudy and only supposed to get to 94 degrees - so a very nice change for us!
Hot in Texas, 95 today, burn ban in effect. No BBQ's or fireworks allowed for individuals. But the city will put on a fireworks show. Makes no sense to me. Everything is just so dry. Hope everyone stays safe.

Oh - I live in Germany but my youngest daughter actually is visiting family (first time after one of our mutual
ancestors emigrated to the States in 1886 - family reunion)
in Minneapolis but this week they all went to Wisconsin
to meet other relatives there and celebrate 4th of July.
Congratulations to all of you American ladies to this event. Monique, my daughter, spoke to me via Skype and she said it was quite too hot for her. They also have the air condition and they only leave the house early in the morning to make walks with the little twin babies.
In Germany it is hot too but we have lots of thunder and
lightning here while my English girl friend said they suffer of flood and are having rain for several weeks now. How different life is all over the world - btw - my
youngest son is in New Zealand and wrote he will go skiing tomorrow :-)) Hugs, Maria
Knoxville, TN has broken a lot of records, including the one for the all time highest temp...we were 105! Yuk. Every time we come into the house, we say a prayer of thanks for AC! And I don't think emb. machines need the hot, humid weather either! So AC sure helps care for our machines too!
Yesterday it was 106 here in Amarillo, TX and has been in tripple digits for a couple weeks, off & on. Stay inside if you can, I do. My DH is smokin ribs today! Too HOT for me to do that! Hahaha! Hugs, Judy
It really hot here too, I'm in Arkansas and its been over 100 everyday for the past couple weeks, we have been under a burn ban and today really scares me if anyone sneeks fireworks. Hope everyone has a safe, firefree 4th
