On my other computer I had a rar file extractor. I have downloaded one to my new computer but can't get it to work. What do you use for rar files and where did you find it? Thank you for any help.

Just FYI - winRar cost after your trial period if you want to continue to use it. I don't know how much it is, as I didn't continue with it. I can do a right click and to extract all and it will open both zip files and the rar files. I have no idea what program it is - sorry.

WinRar and 7-zip are the two that I know about. The winRar site is just winrar.com. Good luck with getting something that you really like, and works for you!

I use Win Zip. It is free and I have been using it for 10 + yrs with no problems/Lillian

I use 7zip, found on that same page at cnet. You right click on a rar file, in the menu is 7zip. You choose extract all files or extract here, and get singles or a folder. Very easy.

I use the frog extractor I will go & see if I can find the ext
