I use PED too but generally avoid outlining for the same reason .. frustration. Use the open line tool, choose a running stitch and click just inside your design's edges. If your design is mostly fill stitches, then selecting each colour's area and adjusting the stitch attributes to include pull compensation might help to keep your outline where it should go, however it can take a few trial stitch outs before you get an outline exactly where you want it, or that's how it seems to be for me. 822There is a yahoo group with Sue Lough, Memories in Thread, that you can join to get tutorials, and also there is a video of tutorials that is also good from Carol Price. Carol also a website. I will add a few links here for you to check out. The link at sewforum gives several sites that I checked out. I was given the Carol Price video as a gift, but have been too busy to study it yet:>) Good Luck!

Go to the top of the community page and you will see a tab at the top that says Private, open that and click on private message. Put her user name in the TO: and type her a message.

take a look at the response above. I have taken all Su Loughs lessons. She just does not teach how to do the outlining.
