I just read mariahail's post about poetry, and wanted to share. A man I work with had a brain bleed a few years ago, and we thought he was going to die. He pulled through, and ever since, he has poetry just pouring out of him. He's published 2 books, and is writing more. What an answer to prayer he is and his gift of poetry. They're simple, but evoke very visual images. Can I share some of his short ones sometime?

Here's a poem from author Randy Smith. It is entitled "set in motion"
In the warmth of the sun the earth rotates her days on an invisible axis
A small speck in the vastness of the universe. Only one part of the greater timepiece of creation. Set in motion by forces mere mortals can never comprehend.
For the sun moon and stars, indeed all of space, is only the clock in the living room of God. (sounds wonderful if you read it out loud)

Please do! I love poetry, and often write a few myself. I always say I have a couple of books bottled up inside me wanting to come out!! LOL One never knows what direction the Lord will take you!! He is GREAT!!
