Thank you all for the prayers. We need them since we are traveling about 1500 miles with a heavily loaded Yukon hauling a trailer carrying a heavily loaded 1971 Mustang. Now to answer your questions: When we arrive in New jersey we will move into a Temporary House. They do not have a house for us yet on the Maguire Dix Joint Base. So they are fully furnishing a temporary empty house for us. It will be furnished right down to washer/dryer tv and linens for us. It may take up to 6 months for them to get us into a permanent house appropriate for my husband's rank. I am grateful for the temporary living situation. But in the meantime our household goods (furniture, pictures, fabric, etc) will be locked in a freight storage unit located in a secure area. So this move really means 2 moves. Fortunately I can afford to buy fabric as I need it as well as stabilizer. I am bringing some stabilizer and a full complement of Madiera thread colors. Thank goodness for Allstitch. Please keep praying for us. This has been a tough move so far. We were doing well until the company in charge of our move forgot to schedule the truck to pick up our household goods. So our move got delayed an extra week. I keep reminding myself that God is in control. Thank goodness. I will give you an update in a few days. I don't like to hog the postings. Shirlene, thanks. It makes me feel good to know others are stitching even though I can't yet. And Suzanne, thanks for being my shoulder, my ear, and for all the cyper hugs you are sending.

Thanks for the update! I shall be keeping you and your family in my prayers and asking for all to be peaceful for you as you make this HUGE transition! Yes, God is in control, and it is difficult to let go and let God take care of us! Prayers or you to be able to do that...we all can use some prayers in that area I am sure!! Hugs and be safe:>) ro

Karen, thank you for answering all those questions in this post - you did good. It sure sounds like there is more to this move than any of us thought - that temporary housing will be nice - until they have the permanent housing is available. And you are right - this will be two moves for you and all your belongings. I do hope you can get yourself situated into the temporary housing and adapt to your surroundings and enjoy the time that you have to wait on the big move. Travel safe and know we are praying for you.

Now for me to get to stitching for the both of us - Hehehe!

Will pray for a safe trip for you. Last week we put in 34 hours driving to New York/New Jersey and then we had to drive to get Miss Kitty and then a few hours to the airport to pick up the newly weds. I'm still trying to catch up. You will have lots to do for a while just getting settled into the temporary place and adjusting. Hope the move and the trip goes smoothly for you.
