I read somewhere that you could put you gummed up hoops in the dish washer and mine were in bad shape so me being lazy tried it for the first time today and the glue loosened up and came of very easy

Mine will go in there tonight. Thank you. Been using baby wipes, too.

I don't have a dishwasher, but heard about using Baby Wipes, and tried that which works well.

You could also just let them go in the wash and when it is ready to dry, remove them.

Definitely something you would want to put on the top rack in the dishwasher so the drying element didn't melt it! I'm not that brave.......

You are WAY more brave then I am - hate what the dishwasher does to dishes - what would it do to my hoop! I use a baby wipe regularly and then I soak in the sink in Dawn if they get extra yucky.

Hmmmmm... that's different. Not sure I would be game.
Easy solution to sicky gunk is 'lampoil' .. works a treat.

I hope to need sticky hoop in my future, this is one technique I have not tried. Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Seems that I did not stitch enough. Have my Janome for nearly 5 years and still no need to clean them. Maybe cause I use adhesive spray very rarely? Often wonder when I see Kennys instructions on emblibrary projects about the excessive use of adhesive spray he heas ;o)

wow. you are game girl. I would be worried it would disort the shape. I use diluted Eucalyptus oil & then warm soapy water to clean mine. xx

I don't think I would like that corrosive detergent coming near my plastic hoops. I've seen what it does to aluminium pans so I am back to washing anything aluminium or plastic by hand.
Remember your hoops are WAY more expensive to replace than most crockery.

Diamond, I never thought of putting them in the diswasher - but I do clean mine off with spray - that cleans them slick as a whistle and in an instant.

Shirlene would this be goo be gone that you use? It sure takes off a lot of stuff. I use it for a lot of sticky stuff then wash it because of the smell.

Seems like Glass Plus might work for this sort of thing.
