Very pretty. I really like the soft colors you used.
Great quilt.
Chris, This is beautiful! I love it! It is quiet and soothing looking. I am sure it will make the the room feel more serene. You and Amy did a wonderful job on this! I would love to see it again when the binding is complete! Hugs, Linda
Nicely done! She will love it! (Hopefully Amy goes.)
Such lovely work, and beautifully done. Please show it to us when Amy is finished with it. It sure was a big job!!Hugs and flowers to both of you.*****
lovely soft colors and well set, love your work of you two, pro longarm quilting would be roundabout 150 Euro here too.
Chris, great job on the quilt! I know it'll be appreciated. If you get a chance, post a close up of the quilt pattern used please. Would love to see it.
Hi Ramona, it was only 4 little squares of 3 1/4 inches and then one large single square 6 1/2 inches. Once you sew the 4 little squares together it made a square of 6 1/2 inches wide. Then we joined the 4 square one next to a plain one. Love Chris
Nice job Chris & Amy - postage is so darn expensive it takes all the fun out of gift sending. Hugs Glenda x0x0x0
What a lot of work has gone into this project. I think the colours are lovely, Chris. I hope Steve's sister really enjoys it and appreciates the work that has gone into it.
I'm sure she will Marianne. Apparently Sarah loves this colour combination and Amy should know, she lived with them whilst in England for nearly a year! Love Chris
150 to quilt a KING SIZE quilt is a steel! & it is a lovely quilt well done to both of you!Hugs Loralye
This is lovely Chris. How nice to work on a project with your daughter. My eldest seems to drop stuff off and leaves me to it! There is someone near me who will quilt with a long arm machine but I have not got that far yet
That's what we did with this one. My quilting lady (who I've been using for years) has a longarm quilting machine and it's so quick. I don't quilt! I just patchwork etc. Love Chris
Way to go girls it's about $100. dollars here or do it yourself by thee hour $10. dollars she said!!!
I love the quilt it seams kind of calming effect to it hugs carolyn
Chris, you and Amy have done a great job - I see from your other post - that you are not that found of the colors or fabric selection - it is lovely - a bit muted - but very lovely. Job well done. What will happen - if Amy isn't going?
Yep Shirlene, not my colour choice at all! It will have to be posted and at around 2kg it's going to cost a lot to post to England. Love Chris
It would probably be more expensive it were going from the UK as the post has just gone up quite a bit here
I like the colors and it is very pretty. Nice work you two.
Is $150 a good price for the quilting there? I've never priced having a quilt top quilted professionally in the UK so this is interesing as fabrics and threads seem to be so much cheaper in the USA. ( I think that's where you are)? Jan
No Jan I'm from Australia!!!!
I felt that this was a good price. It takes a lot of time to set up the quilt on the quilting frame and to do the design etc. This woman does excellent work, I've used her for years. Love Chris
Stunning work Chris and Amy. I love the colours. Hugs Yvonne
Great job Chris I´m impressed. It need´s alot´s of courage to do such a big project. Congratulation
Hello Anabela, well for me it's easy. I've been making patchwork quilts for over 25 years! Amy is only 29 and started sewing at school 11 years ago, so I guess it's in the genes! he he he! Thanks for commenting, love Chris
Amazing lot of work went into this king size quilt. Lots of material to have to work with and hold. You both did an excellent job on it.
You ain't half wrong there Anita, just the cutting out alone of hundreds of squares and then putting them together. I did them with an overlocker (serger) as some of the fabric (ticking) frayed so much. Love Chris
Another great work of art from you, Chris and Amy. Love it. hugs Marg
Thank your Marg, it was a mammoth task as it is so big, I couldn't even fit it between my walls and the old sewing table. Love Chris
Wow! That is fabulous! Congrats on another job well done! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
It's not my cup of tea, but Amy says Sarah will love it. It's just a plain block then a 4 square pieced block. The colours are white, cream and blue! Love Chris
