We rented tablecloths and aisle decorations for our daughter's wedding. We also used David's Bridal for not only the bridal gown, (on sale) but got so many discount coupons from there that we got the invitations from there too. I made her veil, and we did all the flowers ourselves. If you are interested in what we did, please pm me and I'll share whatever I can with you.
I know you will be busy, and bless your heart for helping in such a big way. I look forward to leaching off your good ideas, cuz I believe I will have to help with at least 1 wedding.
What excitement :) your going to be a very busy bee :)
Hugs

I'm so glad I don't have to plan weddings. It sounds like you're going to be one busy lady. Check the table size at the place of the reception before you start buying fabric. Seems every place has different sized tables. Good luck to you and post the goodies in projects as you complete them so we can see!

In our church we have 8' tables and and round tables that seat 6. Yes I will have to check on rental. If we make table cloths I would just donate them to the church. Thanks for your idea.
There are several of us cuties that have a son either getting married - mine in two weeks - or just recently married. We have all been busy trying to help the bride with decorations and favors and keeping the costs down. I would check into renting the table cloths. You might be surprised that they cost less than buying fabric and time sewing. Plus not having to store them after the wedding. Something to check into price wise in your area. Then you would have time to make some amazing decorations and favors.
Thanks for the idea I will check some places around here to see what rental fees are. We have not even talked about the favor and table decorations.
Forgot to mention that some caters have or have access to table settings, plates, cloths, etc. So many details to figure out.
