Well 14 more days and my cast comes off. Can't wait, I so miss embroiderying. Saw my doctor last week he says things are looking good for the elbow and that is good news, bad news is I will have to have an operation on my hip. It is good news that they will be able to help me because I was really worried that I was going to be stuck with this problem. I am too young to not be able to walk. So off with the cast in 14 days, start physio for 6-8 weeks after that and then hip surgery. I think this will be another HELP MY BODY TO HEAL year. I have been off work now for a year so getting real tried of all these limitations

and although I am thankful that these are problems the doctors can fix, I am really tired of all the pain and just want to get back to NORMAL. Thanks for letting me vent again, sometimes it just helps.
hugs to all

On my way and once this is all over, "LOOK OUT", all this down time has been frustrating but I have collected many new ideas and projects and stored them away in my still workable little brain LOL.

It will be wonderful to have that cast off. Do you know if you will have to wear some kind of brace? As for you hip surgery the 70-80 year old's from where my mom had lived said they got them up the next day with a walker. Some went to rehab if they didn't have any family to help them. They said it wasn't too bad of a recovery just some stiffness that therapy took care of especially since they hadn't been moving much before the surgery.

No brace on the arm, just physio for 6 to 8 weeks. The hip is not replacement surgery but a bursectomy and tendon elongnation. I sam told it will be quite painful but if that is what it takes to get back to normal, BRING IT ON. I am not one to back down from a challenge. It will just take some time because my arm has to be strong enough so that I can use a cane or crutches.

Michelle, I understand your frustrations, and can't
imagine not being able to walk either!! So, hang in there and do what is necessary to get back to NORMAL! Sometimes it seems we're taking up residency at the doctor's office, after just a few visits!! Best wishes for speedy healing for you!
Hugs,
Angel
