173580is Anzac day a day when you honor all veterans? On our Veterans day, our fifth and sixth graders honor all our military veterans in our community, and our special education high school students made red poppies for every veteran. It is such a special time for all of us.

Anzac stands for Australiana and New Zeland Army Cor . On Anzac day we celebrate All veterans in all wars. It started with the tragety at Galipilee to honor our men at the end of the First World War and every war since which now adds the War against terror in Afganastan.Where we are losing service men. There are Dawn services held all over Australia and NZ and one at the Mamorial over in Turkey.
Yesterday was the Service for the Battle of the Coral Sea that was fought by Australian and Americans agains the Japanese. We had a visit here in Brisbane from an American Navy Ship and American Dignateries for the Joint Celebrations, This was the battle that kept the Japs from taking over Port Morsbey New Ginnea and protacted Australia from them landing here. We had already been bombed in three States by then. So this was the turning point. Hopr that this has been of help. Joyce
