FSL for apparel. Try Advanced Embroidery. I work with 50 weight cotton all the time for FSL and fill - sometimes I if I did not know how dense it was I delete stitches on the test run and then increase the size of the design by 6 - 10%. Should stitch out fine! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
Thick thread works out perfect for some cross stitch. Gives it a hand embroidered look and feel.
Thee are some designs that are digitized for a heavier thread. I think Embroidery Library might have some.
If you did use it in the top, you'd possibly also need a larger eyed needle.
Have a BabyLock also and hane been told that thicker threads must be used in the bobbin! It works for me.
So would the thick thread need to be in the bobbin? Would you have to change the tension if you used it on the top? I've never worked with thick thread before, except for couching with my sewing machine. So to sum it up, I am clueless.
