2847I'll share a funny abt tatting. My Mom taught me and as we were working she told this story on herself. As her MIL was teaching her, Mom kept tying knots and was getting frustrated. Dad said 'let me see that'. Mom said he just started tatting away. She told me she got angry with him for doing it so easily. They all had a good laugh.

In the past few years, Dad can't do the same things he did all his life. My Mom is having a hard time with this as she is so used to him being able to fix anything. I told her, you're going to have to get used to hiring people like everyone else has to do!!! He could do anything, still can. He even likes to do his taxes!!!

Good for you! My Dad can bake pies and can. When I was a girl, he was the one that helped me with my sewing. I thought all Dad's did that!
