This is very lovely. I grew up with a set of twins that their father sold caskets. Some people usually the spouse or closest person to the deceased would place a floral pillow in honor of their loved one at the head of the casket.

I have never heard of this, but it is a lovely gesture...and your pillow is beautiful...
