I seem to be in a rut these days. I finished my walker bags for the nursing home, and all of my Birthday presents for the next three months, so I don't have any interest in any next projects.... do some of you give your sewing machine and embroidery machine a break like this... seems like it has been days since I used them... need a little inspiration to get going again.

I get into ruts! I have actually found the floor in my sewing room! A little more to go!

I have been on a slow run for three weeks now - with DH in hospital, (First back op, then in coma for 11 days in ICU, but now back in genereal ward, my chemotherapy,) it all just seemed to get a bit much for me. So now I am inspired to make this walker bag for him, for his walker. My mom also needs one, as well as, it appears to be ideal for the old age homes, a donation to my church's old aged people as well as for my craft market. Thanks very much.*****

My goodness, it's a wonder you have any energy at all, dear lady. I wish I lived close to come sew for YOU for a day :-) Hugs, Jan

When I get started I usually do more than one project then for some reason.... I don't touch it for days... this time it is about 2 weeks.
I have so many other things to do ..... can't embroider all the time. :)

I do that too! I'm finding I alternate between sewing and then embroidering, and then I get into FSL for a while. I rarely get away from the whole sewing/stitching thing for very long though :-) Do you?

Yes, I do get away from all sewing once in a while. Right now I have a PILE of things to work on, alter, fix, mend, etc. and I'm just letting it lay there.... ha... some times it just gets on my nerves and I know it is time to take a break!

Well, I have a lot of "chores" waiting for me in my sewing room, if you'd like to travel to Arkansas and do my work for me! My first chore--cleaning my sewing room!

Someone asked for directions and I answered but it looks like the link didn't go through so will try this way. Again, not sure what you are looking for but this was in my "Things To Make" folder. Hope it goes through this time. :)

Happens to me every month! I decide I want to participate and I am a piece maker instead of a completer kind of hobbyist, so today I am working on blocks and barriers! little projects I did wrong when I first started, all FSL and I am stitching them down to other materials, so that I can rinse the wss. Do you have any scraps to play with? Kinda like a Zen game! just start putting them together! It might help. LLDS Live Laugh Download Stitch!

You probably just need to decompress!! Could you please give instructions/directions on how to make the walker bags? I go to nursing homes every week and would like to have something useful to take along. Thanks

Here is a link to a very easy walker bag. Not sure what exactly you want but I had this one in my list of "Things To Make".

It's funny but the fastest way to get out of that rut is be without your machine for awhile. Then you think up plenty of projects you need to do now. Enjoy your break, you'll get motivated soon

My breaks don't seem to last more than a day. Have a long list of "to do's" so I get inspired easily.

We could use a few more pocket dollies for Uganda....... But I also agree, it's a great time to check it in for service :-)

Usually at times like this I book it in for it's yearly service and overhaul. As soon as its gone I then get the urge to do something then, all the ideas come flooding in and by the time it comes home I'm raring to go again. Suelyn
