I had another thought. What format are you converting from? If its the newest pes version 9 then you might need the Bernina conversion software. I'm pretty sure they have the most up to date pes.

I too need PCS or VIP. I use Wilcom to change to PCS but not VIP. Wilcom also does not recognize VIP at all. These two sites were recommended to me for recognizing VIP.

EOS Version 3 by Compucon, which is also free, will recognize VIP format.

Sorry, I don't know how to post the links so you can just click on them. However, you can copy and paste the links. Goodluck.

If you recently downloaded it you may have a version that won't save in any home formats. If that is the case you can try the 'Pulse Ambassador' online conversion program. It is also a very good program. I am including the link below.

Hi Betty, most programs are similar to Windows Explorer when it comes to file Open, Save, Copy, Move, SelectALL. When it comes to resizing in Wilcom; I select the item (scroll mouse over icon bar pause over each icon SelectAll is towards the right. You will see solid square anchors on the corners of the image area. Click Hold and Drag to the size desired (more than 20% and often much less is recommended) when you release the mouse the image is sized. Then do a save as, select your format type and location. If you are doing pes you need to select hoop size! Done! Good Luck!

One thing I neglected is after you resize there is a function under the EMBoidery Menu item called small stitches. This will remove stitches, however it is by size only... you can not choose. This can cause distortion in a design. I have had decent success when not reducing more than 15%. I have also reduced 30%, but you worry a little stitching it out! Learn by redrawing the design - slow down the speed! It is fun to watch!

I have not resized in Wilcom so I won't attempt to tell you how. I do convert designs. We may have different versions/years of Wilcom but it should be similar.

Go to the File pull down menu at the top left and click Open.
A box will open. go to the pull down menu in that box and click All Files( this will ensure that you will see the design you are looking for.
Search for the design in the folder that it is in or where ever you have it stored. (Zip files need to be unzipped before doing this). Once you have clicked the file open you can click on the design. 1 click will show a picture, 2 clicks will open the design in the software. You will get a message that you are limited to what you can do.
Now go back to the top left File menu and click Save As. A box will open and go to Save as Type pull down menu and pick the format you need. It will save where ever the design was originally unless you change the folder choice.

I hope that's clear enough. Good luck

Always make a copy of the design before you try to change it just in case you mess up, then you can start over if you need to. Play around with the software and try resizing too.

whoops, Comments get cut off after a few characters, maybe 144? I don't know. Try explaining again in a Reply so you don't get cut off.
