Yesterday afternoon I heard our 5mth old pup Cherrie chewing on what sounded like a piece of hard plastic, went to investigate found nothing ,opened her mouth to find a white piece of what I thought was plastic sitting on her tongue. On closer inspection(glasses on)it turned out to be a molar,it must of fallen out in her mouth & she was trying to eat it.Earlier we were at the Vets on another matter & I asked about her new fang growing down behind her old one which was still firmly in place ,thinking we might be in for a dental problem in the future-no trouble the vet gave it the flick & the old tooth came out & she didn't even feel anything. This morning I vacuumed up another fang

When we had dogs we used to find baby teeth every now and then, don't remember what age they were!

around 4-5 months, depending on the breed you're glad when they fall out.Scottish terrier puppy teeth are sharp. One Scottie had to have a tooth out & the vet & his staff were amazed at its size, kept it for us .Its in a box somewhere with other dog teeth that our dogs have lost over the yrs

I have never in my 72 years found ANY fallen out teeth of all the pets we have had. We were at a crocodile farm years ago and the guide held a baby croc so that we can feel his teeth and one came out as I moved my finger along his teeth!

Don't think I would put my finger in a baby crocs mouth ever , I value my fingers too much. The cat has a vicious bite when he wants to chomp you & he has only 4 sharp fangs

Thank goodness it was a tooth and nothing more! Don't you just love puppies!

I have never found any of the teeth my dog lost, so I presume she has eaten them. No harm done and she is a healthu lively 1year old now!

It is so strange that when puppies loose their baby teeth that they seem to come out all at once. I certainly do not think that 'eating' a baby tooth will hurt her. Enjoy your little puppy. Hugs Sarah.

Found one of her front teeth on her chin whiskers a few weeks ago ,it was so small I thought it was something from my sewing room floor.Hope she doesn't expect the tooth fairy to come calling LOL.How small are kittens teeth? Our cat is about 2yrs & his front bottom teeth are nearly invisble.
