Feeling very depressed & upset today. Found out my machine might have quit on me. Bobbin does not spin when it is supposed to be winding. & when I go to stitch a design it tells me that the needle is entangled or the needle is bent. I have changed the needle & rethreaded the machine & it still says the same thing. Been looking at other machines.

There are other ones available at Costco via on-line store also. I am amazed at all they sell;>) Check the home section for sewing and garment care.

So sorry your machine is being troubled.
I have the pe 150 and it is A great workhorse.
I have the extra multi place hoop with it and did some grand designs with that. It moves to 3 diff positions A:B:C:
I love the hoops cos the fabric is tightly hooped.
I remember getting confused going from my new machine , the bobbin didn't wind so I wound the bobbin on the new one, stitched the design and then dicovered that I had not pressed the start button.
I use this Pe 150 for all my 4x4 projects.
Hope yours gets a quick checkup.
Happy stitching!

P.S. I must tell you This; I have been dying to brag to someone!
My bernina Activa 145 sewing machine also had A circut board failure.
Cost to repair was to be R3000,00 After that quote I brought it home and thought I would wait for my Genius Son, he was working in Dubai, to have a look.
In no time at all he had the new tiny electric part in, It cost R1,26 and it does not even concern the computer of the machine.
My son is "McGyver".

He was away in Dubai, working,
In no time he had the new part in.
Cost R1,50 .

the depressing part is the cost. Most of us don't budget for new machines or unexpected repairs. I think the same thing goes for computers.

I am sorry you are sad, we all feel that way when our machines think they need a break from us. Perhaps it isn't as bad as you think but maybe it's time to check out aome new ones./Lillian

Thanks for the uplifting advice. It just seems like a part of me has left me since my machine is down. I have looked at a new one @ the Brother shop in Brewer, ME & new Husvarna machines @ the Husky shop in JoAnn Fabric shop in Bangor, ME. Want to look @ others too.

Don't be depressed & upset, look on the bright side, great excuse to get a brand new machine :)
That's how I got my embroidery machine.. my normal sewing machine died after 20years of faithful service... I'm so glad it did, I LOVE my new machine.

So sorry to hear about your sadness! Maybe you can get the Brother LB-6800 THRD from Costco that is on sale for 349$. it is regularly 389.:) I thought about getting it since I do not have a 4x4 hoop and there isn't one for my machine. This cost is about the price of the other hoops made for mine;>) Good luck shopping:>)

I am telling everyone that the next embroidery machine that I get will have a bigge hoop size. I really want to do bigger designs & possibly learn to do digitizing too.

kharriman by kharriman 13 Mar 2012

What kind of machine do you have?

drro by drro 13 Mar 2012

I have the Quattro, and I love it. It has all the big hoops and the capacity to be upgraded for 100 years, so the company says.

drro by drro 13 Mar 2012

I could do 2 things at once, so that is why I would consider the smaller one. The Quattro's smallest hoop is bigger than a 4x4; you use more fabric, etc. I could solve 2 problems at once;>) But I heartily rec'mend the Quattro; it is wonderful!

I don't know where there is a Costco in Maine.

Are you are member? The Costco machine is available on line and they will mail it to you. Maybe you have a friend who is a member. I think it's a good deal. My daughter brought the same one last fall for 400.

They said with it doing all of that, one of the circuit boards might be gone. & if that is the case, it would be cheaper to buy aother machine.
