Actually I am surprised that more of us didn't say we collect designs I thought for sure that would be in all of the posts!
Designs only take up digital space, not physical space, so they don't count!

Material and patterns, I am trying very hard this year to not buy any material. So far I have succeeded in buying less, lol. Well at least I'm closer to my goal of not buying any, but so far I can't seem to walk away from a pretty piece of fabric begging me to take it home. Such a shame since I have somewhere around 30 plus bins of fabric aready. Yes I am addicted to collecting fabric, a true fabraholic, lol!
Diane

swarovski items that have a connection with water (ex frog, shark, fish, turtle...)
Cookbooks
Well, I used them more before I started working 40 hours a week and we had the Internet to look stuff up. I do love to curl up with a cookbook though. I like the ones that are used with lost of scribbling in them.
I like cookbooks put together by churches and community groups. I get some of the best recipies from them!
Meri
I like them too, especially if they are from all over the country, that way the recipes are different. Cookbook collecting sounds weird, but cookbooks are pretty neat!

Cats find me as well. Other people's dogs also have my address posted someplace :)
Fridge magnets. I have lots that are boxed away, you can only display so many.
I have to admit I like sets of dishes. Some are just for 4 people. My daughter said I need to stop. ha ha My favorite is Old Country Rose. I just got a set with different color stripes so now I will make chili pepper napkins. I think there is 11 sets so far plus sets of 4 sald plates in neat designs.
I collect dishes too I have many many sets, different ones for different meals love them all use them all too. What fun!!
I hate dust collecters so I am not collecting anything that might give me extra work. I stick to embroidery designs and fabrics (scissors seem to be another one)
I have collected Christmas mice for 40 years. I have a large collection of wool fiber. I love to spin. But my largest collection is stuffed animals. Any child who visits can play with them. Charla
Didn't think anyone else would collect mice, but I have done so for over 30 years - requirements are small & cute, have over 150 for the Christmas tree alone, plus hundreds more for each of the seasons. Use to be fabric but this past year have given away 30 years of collecting to any charity willing to make something out of it. I found that as a fabricholic that whenever you decide to make something you go buy the fabric not use the stuff in the wonderful stash.

now if we didn't do it that way we would never get out to buy more, this way we see whats new too LOL
I have a love for English china and have collected various pieces over the years. I now find that they just collect dust and I am sure that my children and their children will not want them. So these days I will just stick to embroidery designs. Sarah
I used to collect cat figurines, but after years of dusting the stuff, I have since lightened my load by boxing alot up and just have a few in small wall curios....lot less dusting..YEA!!
Believe it or not-nothing-other than sewing supplies and designs-believe me-that takes up enough room! ~linda~
