What are the worst features of your Sewing machines.

Without naming the model or type.

I have a very old second hand machine. I love her to bits but I wish I could be able to change the speed and be able to mirror designs. I can now mirror designs with other programs I have.

No Clothsetter made for the make of the newest machine! I miss it sooo much but love everything else.

One of my machines the screen keeps going out of alignment so it's impossible to select the buttons at the left side of the screen. This is annoying because that is where you select stitches if you need to go back or forward within a design.

Another machine doesn't have a presser foot lever, only a button to press, this really bugs me, especially if I am using it to sew.

Other than these annoyances, I love my machines and can't wait to be well enough to go downstairs to use them again.
hugs n roses, Meganne

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
I am very patient with my querky machines.
There are none that I am willing to part with.

If you don't want to know the model or type - why ask? Hehehe!

I think the worst feature is that it doesn't hoop the material and stabilizer for me and change the thread and bobbins.

I didn't want it to be about comparing the brands.

I agree, it may be easier to use when sewing, but is harder to reach when embroidering. My machine moves the hoop to a position that is supposed to make it easy but with larger hoops it is still fiddly at best.

Yes I hate taking the hoop off.

These are my gripes:
ALL Things wrong with my variety of Machines:
The light does not give the best view.
No memory for the stitch that you were working on.
The table that slides on appears too fragile for heavy items.
The fancy stitches sew at a very slow speed automatically and not able to speed them up, so I avoid using them for a long hem or round a table cloth.
The add on quilt table is not comfortable for piecing because it takes the work too far forward from a comfortable sewing distance. So I have to lean forward or stretch my arms, very uncomfortable.
There are stitch patterns that don’t reverse or they cause a knot for the tie off.
The feet even if it is for quarter inch will catch on the seam, so causing a stop, to lift the foot.
No marking for ¼" seam.
The pressure spot to arrange and hold layers steady is exactly on the flimsy plastic bobbin cover.
The most awful, hump at the junction of the foot plate, 1 ½ " before the needle. This upsets every nesting of seams for patchwork. :(
Needle up/down will cancel at every manual turn of the hand wheel. This made me think I was crazy. If you begin again and the needle is up, It will stop up. Turn the needle into the fabric, sew and it would stop back in the down position. Not good for the many seam joins in patchwork. :(

Well your list certainly had me thinking.
Lighting is definitely a problem with three of mine and I hate that the other two thread (top thread), inside the machine and there is no access to them to clean or remove threads.
