Your stitchout looks beautiful. You are right in saying a lot of thread and time goes in to stitching a lace bowl. There are great for wedding tables filled with favours. One of my wee girls asked for a pink lace bowl filled with butterflies. Personally I do not have lace bowls around as I dont use them either, but I love to design and stitch them. hugs Helen
I have yet to make one, but if I was going to do it, it would be as a gift for someone that's VERY special to me. But, I'm a country girl, too, and I do have some frilly stuff around. Not a whole lot, but enough so that my gender isn't neutralized. LOL
It looks lovely, I have thought about doing something similar but wouldn't know what to do with it once finished but give yourself and pat on the back, it is a great achievement.
well I love the project, but my question is the same. I think it will not sell here either, and don't use it myself too.But I must admit it does look lovely!
It is beautiful, I also made my first bowl a little while back and too doesn't know what to do with it, I also don't like frills and ornaments and stuff standing around but on the mean time it holds my bobbins lol Hugs Louise ps. it still is fun creating it though
It's beautiful! If you don't want to keep it in your house you can always give it as a present to someone who will love it. Hugs, Lidia
Yours turned out great I am like you and Mops dishwasher safe. I like Hard candy so I keep mine full on the hall tabel.
I love making bowls but like you I am not sure you would use them for. I sell a few Owl bowls to those who collect Owls. Well done for your first bowl.
You must have wanted to try ti for some reason or you wouldn't have taken the time and work. It is lovely and will make a great gift for just the right person, I am sure of that.
Well I think it is fantastic. I to have just started FSL. and I am giving them away for Mums day, Birthdays. Keep on doing them, did you see the lamp shades this is what iv been doing. ill try to put the link for you as there is so much lace stuff on there. Hugs Pam.

Your first FSL Bowl turned out great!
It is a very pretty design!
Would make a lovely gift filled with just about anything! LOL
Perhaps fill it with a embroidered Hand towel, face cloth and bath soaps as a gift.
Chocolates are always a great filler!
Could you tell us where you got the FSL Bowl design from?

If you join secret santa or do swaps, anyone would love this beautiful bowl....
Not everyone, look at how many say they do not like these bowls for themselves. If I got it in a SS swap I would have to regift it because I would never use it.
Too bad; or maybe not...Maybe I'll put my name on the list;then everyone can send the ones they don't want to me,lol.
Put this in your china clutch, I am with you on the thread and the time! I love little FSL - stitch, rinse, dry and done! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
I prefer something I can put in the diswasher. That's why I don't make them, I would not know who to give it to and don't like frilly things myself. But it IS a lovely bowl.
it is just lovely! Give it away LOL I like frilly too!you could put gift cards or candy for guests or whatever you like!
I like lacy frilly things but was never sure what to put in one of these lace bowls so haven't made one. Dried Flower and Herbal Sachets/Potpourri does come to mind after the chocolates are gone.
yes me to but i love them.Yours is excellent:):)great job hugs carolyn
It is very pretty and you did a great job. But this is the reason that I haven't made a bowl. What would I do with it? My friends aren't the frilly types either.
I made a couple a while ago and ended up giving them to Vinnies!
I love making them and I just fill them with something nice (chocolats, sweets, bath stuff and give them away. I agree not a money maker but so beautiful!
Beautiful bowl!
I also love to make some things in FSL, and I also don't like to fill my house with this things and then .... I fill the houses of friends and pareents ;)
Im the same. Nice gift I think!! I have some that my daughter would like me to make as gifts for the special people helping her with her wedding ie. flower girls are getting ballerina boxes and bridesmaids are getting butterfly boxes all with a piece of jewellry in them or something.
Hello I was given a beautiful bowl like this as a Christmas gift it was filled with wrapped chocolates to put on my Christmas table everyone admired it and ate the chocolates as well .Looks wonderful at a small dinner party centre piece. Joyce
I am with you, it is very pretty but I do not go for all the ribbons and lace around either.
It is a really pretty one. You did a great job of it. Where is it from, do you remember? I'm not much into lace or home decorating either. I think the fabric bowls would be more 'me', if I could get around to trying one.
Very pretty indeed. I am sure you can find someone special that you can give it to as a special present. :)
I guess you could gift it to someone who does like
lacy frilly things. My mom does and she's from the North so I'm sure someone you know will love it.
