I'm assuming that you are talking about the thread in the upper and not nesting in the bobbin area. If its in the top you might have a thread in there. floss it with unwaxed flossing material. Do it like you were threading the needle, but don't thread, just pull a piece of floss through.

If you are having a nesting problem, its probably due to a dirty bobbin area. remove the bobbin and cup and clean out very carefully.

Yes Tilde,i am talking about the upper section and it is thread getting caught and even though i,m carefull about how i pull the thread through ect after i finish each colour, it keeps getting tangled around the rods inside. How i prevent this frustrating situation i do not know, cheers Betty

Are you pulling the thread out through the needle? If not this is what I have been told to do as if there are bits of lint they will stick in the machine and cause probems

I do pull the thread down through the needle with rare and unavoidable exceptions, maybe the rare and unavoidable times are enough to cause problems, thanks so much for your input, cheers Betty

I have a Galaxie3000 and sometimes reduce the tension when using it

you do not say what cotton you are useing?. I have two brothers and one is very choosy about the thread. I was wondering if it was like the metalic thread that getts two much twist in it and if you put it in a mug or some thing like that, and put it on the floor so it has time to run better ,it is worth a try. good luck. Hugs Pam.

Hi Pam Thanks for your suggestions, It seems to happen over time so it is hard to pinpoint if it is any particular thread, i do use different brands but not metalics, i will certainly give the mug idea a shot, thank you so much, cheers Betty

Yes. When thread wont pull free sometimes pressing the button for threading the needle will loosen the thread so you can pull it out without breaking it.

Same machine , same troubles. I have had it in the shop too many times. It needs it now , but I am not able to travel the 2 hours and pay that amount right now. Too bad , since this is such an awsome machine otherwise .
