I want to incorporate buttons with my embroidery.

I'm thinking about embroidering a small leaf and stem, then sewing on a red button for an apple or any other fruit. I've even thought about a triangle of color with a string attached then sew on a button and have a balloon. Or stems for flowers.
Has anyone ever seen anything like this? Smart Needle does something like this but much more complex than I'm thinking about. Any Cutie out there willing to digitize these things?

It sounds like a darling project and I'm hoping someone can digitize stems and leaves for you. There are so many talented people here, who would do a great job for you!
Best of luck; we'd love to see the project when you have completed it!
Hugs,

Something like this - where blue is just the spot you would sew a button.

Thank you, this is exactly what I'm thinking. It is so beautiful! As for the fruit, most leaves can go with any color. (Apples, oranges, plums, etc.) But I would also like a grape leaf with a curly vine. Then I'd sew on a bunch of tiny 1/4 inch buttons as the grapes. For the flowers, I wouldn't use anything bigger than 1 inch.

Collage Artistry is a popular craft these days. I personally would not put 3D on blankets, quilts or pillows, because if you fall asleep on one it may cut off circulation. Wall hangings are fun! Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Thank you for the advice. I was thinking maybe around the bottom of a skirt, or on kitchen towels.

What you are asking is the flower stem and leaves, no flower, same thing with the apple and the balloon. What size buttons are you thinking of?

It looks like my other comment to you was not complete. I'm thinking the buttons should be 1" or less. As for myself, I can resize the designs as needed, but I know that others don't have that ability.
