I see you have found the patterns but the next step is to add batting. What I do and it works out nicely is to piece the top of the block and then right before it does the final block outline I spray my batting lightly and attach it to the backing square and then I spray the other side of the batting and attach it to the back of the pieced front block, make sure you do not remove the block from the hoop then I finish my final outline stitch in the hoop. It turns out great. If you need to watch a tutorial go to www.queenofstitching.com. It doesn't cost anything to join but in order to view the tutorials for free, you will have to sign up.
If you are going to do potholders , to protect your fingers from burning,be sure to use "Insulbrite" or a similar product rather than quilt batting. Also the kind of fabric that they make ironing board covers out of is good to use on the backs.
Excellent reminder! I think the cotton rubber sheeting I use would work, but be too thick.
There are some really good ones at both of the following:
I've downloaded several and they stitch out great. I also have the 5X7 hoop.

Designs by Sick has a lot of quilt block designs for both the 4x4 and 5x7 hoops. Just search for quilt or block. You will need to register to purchase the designs.
And YES, you can do it all in the hoop. Would recommend just hooping the stabilizer, then basting the batting and material to the stabilizer.
There are some great ones on Julia's Needles - and more on Designs in Stitches - Sashiko. Ann the Gran has some lovely ones and Quilter Blocks Galore.
I am sure there will be more people along shortly with other sites. Love and blessings Chris
The quilters cache one is just designs for quilts - not machine embroidery.
