DH and I had planned to go to the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas but I had a root canal done which resulted in an infection. On top of that I got a terrible cold/sinus infection. At the last minute we decided I could make it which was good because I had Celine Dion tickets! I figured I could be miserable at home or in Vegas but if I was there I would have a chance at attending the events.

Glad you went - my SIL mentioned this Electronic Show and would LOVE to go but being so far away is almost an impossibility! It's almost 14g's just to get there, then there accomodation, food, show and at 8 to one it's a hefty price for us SA's. Nice to see what you've been up too - seems a lifetime ago I was in California! Hugs Elizabeth

Looks like you made the right desicion! Why be miserable at home and miss out on all that? Especially since it wasn't a cold or the flu! Looks like you where able to enjoy yourself.

I think it's time that your kids stepped up and did their own laundry and started taking care of Mom when she's ill. Once I bleached an item that my daughter didn't want bleached, and ever since she does her own laundry and even taught her younger brother to do his laundry. Wish I'd bleached her clothes a little sooner.

Sometimes it is good to kick yourself in the a.. ;o)
For somebody in Germany these roadpics are gorgeous because here you never could look so far. Pretty sure that Celine was amazing (I would need some tissues for sure). So you enjoyed your trip and hopefully you will regain your health soon :o)
