I met a lady last week & she said her husband was coming home from Afganistan on Dec 29th & she had told him she would make him a Christmas stocking. She said she doesn't know how to sew & asked me to make one for him from an old uniform. This is the end result. I used the front of the uniform with the pocket & left the velcro for her to place his name above the pocket.

I love this idea. Do you have enough to make another & embroider the ladys name to be velcroed on & the year 2011. A matching pair. *4u all

What a wonderful gift you have created for your friend and her husband! There are many ways to honor those that defend our country, and you found yet another one. Great job (and thank you!)

That was a very special thing you did for her and for him, our soldiers deserve better than what they usually get. This act goes into God's extra pocket for you!

Now that's a Christmas Stocking with a difference. Great work. I'm sure he'll be very impressed and she'd have been thrilled you could help her, too.
