Well in the words of Prince John from Robin Hood Prince of Theives "Cancel Christmas!" Why I hear you ask, with me having Pneumonia, the grand kids with Tonsillitis, my daughter having the flu, and my husband just coming down with Gastro and I just got a call from my best friend, saying her mum had just passed away. It will mean no one will want to celebrate. Bummer

Perhaps you all will have Christmas - when you get feeling better.

Merry Christmas Ruth

I know exactly how you ashalre feeling. have been in bed for 3 weeks now with viral bronchitis and upper respiratory bug. My daughter has been sick with sinus infection, and now my husband has a sinus infection and a reaction to the antibiotic that has caused his eyes to swell, which is very serious. Doc has put him on special meds for that. our married sons father inlaw has cancer and is not doing well. Christmas is not just one day and we will all get together next week. Love, Peace, Joy!

Ruth it always seems that everything comes at once but for your girlfriend it will be the worst Christmas ever and I am so sad for her and her family. What a terrible thing to lose her Mum and now Christmas every year will be remembered for her Mum's passing and she will be sad.

For you and your family, just do as we have done, we've postponed it until next Saturday, because I have been so overwhelmed with everything going on right now I just knew I could not be ready in time because my son wanted us to have it LAST week. NO WAY! I would never have made it, but now I am looking forward to next week and the stress has eased.

Please give my condolences to your friend, somehow there is nothing worse than losing your Mum.
Hugs and blessings, Meganne

You know, Dec 25th is a date that was set by the church to celebrate the birth of Christ back in AD 247, they didnt know the actual date, so How I see it is, as long as we celebrate the event, does it matter when? Let's declare a day when we can spend the time with our loved ones, and celebrate his birth and forget about what date it is. Happy Christmas Sally!, love Ruth

Well, your saying goodbye to 2011 with a bang. Here's a cheer for a great new year. Hope everyone gets better soon. I think its going around, my niece
actually had to goto the hospital for a day due to the bug going around. I've been sick on and off since Halloween. I'm feeling better now.

Thankyou Linda, your right about so many things going around, everyone you speak to has something or another, and its not even winter here! I guess the only blessing is that all of these ailments with a litle love and medicine will go away, so we are still better off than some others, merry christmas

Ohmygoodness, Ruth, any one of those would have been enough, but all of them? You were p'raps meant to have a quiet Christmas this time. I don't suppose the grandkids would be happy to cancel though. May 2012 be a far better year for all of you!

perhaps you are right, I usually cater for the masses and we always invite friends who maybe away from or short of family too, Then boxing day is open house for friends when I do it all again! In fact I spotted a size 74 Turkey yesterday that I passed up and thats a first! so its natures way of getting us to slow down. Merry Xmas Ruth

You still have a sense of humour though Ruth! I'm sure you will still all find something to celebrate - have a great time and I pray you will all recuperate quickly. God bless love and blessings Chris

Chris thankyou for the Roses, I guess we all need to vent occasionally and then stop and count our blessing. Its funny when I was a kid my dad used to sing a christian song called "Count Your Blessings"and I had not thought about it for years, yet I can hear him singing it in my head, Merry Christmas Chris!
