It is the second day of summer and Horrible squally weather here is Sunny Brisbane. I really have to bath the cats but I am worried that it will be to cool for them.

I didn't know that about the kidneys! I guess I'd better learn how to bathe a cat - I've NEVER EVER done it - can you believe it?!?!

My Absynnian doesn't mind the actual bath. He seems to like the warm water being sprayed on him. He hates it when I put him on the towel and wrap him up to dry some before letting him go.

It is so amazing how good he feels after a bath. He struts around here as if he knows he looks so handsome.

Cold here in the mountains. Snow, well below freezing, schools on a 2 hour delay and my toes were cold all night long. lol I added a picture of Miss Kitty (my son's girlfriend) getting her first bath just because I was visiting and have cat allergies. Took meds so felt bad they washed the kitty.

She became very vocal. They send me a picture of her every couple days. She is in to everything and loves being in my sons backpack. One day they zipper her in and carried her around for a while. Have that picture too.

Good luck with the cat bath. I have never seen a cat yet that liked water.

My cats are not to bad to bath, I half fill the laundry tub with luke warm water, then I fetch them after the taps are turned off. I put them in the sink wet them down then rinse with a jug. I have a towel layed out ready to plonk them on when I get them out of the sink. There is in fact a bread of cat that loves the water, it is a Turkish van. We had a cat that was part Turkish van and he used to splash himself from his drinking bowl and sit under a dripping tap. Sadly he had very bad epilepsy and other health concerns and he did not live past 2 years.

Not in Southern California at the moment.
LA airport and about 300,ooo customers without electricty due to some nasty winds
clocking 75 mph bringing down 100 ft eucalyptus trees in older neighborhoods.

Crashing and red tagging homes and cars.
So far no major fires or deaths. Just inconvenience and loss of property.
It usually hits us but went further south
and caused havoc. Its all over the news.

People think that because cats bath themselves they do not need to be bathed, this is not true, because they are constantly licking themselves they are swallowing a lot of dirt. This can cause kidney problems for them.
