At 3 years we say, ''Mommy I love you."

At 14 years we say, ''Mom, whatever."
16 years we say, "My mom is so annoying!" At 18 years we say, "I'm leaving this house."
At 21 years we say ''Mom, you were right''. At 30 years we say "'I want to go to Mom's house."
At 50 years we say ''I don't want to lose my mom."
At 70 years we say "I would give up everything to have my mom here with me."

Terri, this is so true. My 17 year old grand son has just left home to live with his dad - this has caused a lot of heartbreak all round. I was 32 when I lost my mum - I still miss her.

Parental decline is so difficult to watch. I agree with all posts here. God bless you all and keep you strong!

How true - The other day my the kids turned around and said - you know you are not so clever as I thought you were. I am loosing admiration at a fast pace now. As for my own mom - it breaks my heart to see how a strong lady can become so fragile so quickly.

It scares me & makes me sad. My mom is fading like a beautiful rose, but I still have her near me and I can still enjoy her company

I have never missed anyone so much in my life, as my precious "Mama", who passed in '85. And yes, as I am almost 70 years, I can truly say, "I would give up everything to have my mom here with me!"
Those who still have "Mom", let her know each day
how much she means to you! No one loves you more than Mom!
Hugs,
Angel
