Use a Red Work design, same thread in top and bobbin. Also might stitch it twice and use bold colors. Test first with similar fabric. Have done this many times and comes out nice. Must use WSS on bottom and top. I like the heavier under and see-through on top. Good Luck, Betty

I'd be scared to even try!!Have you thought about doing your design on an applique trpe patch ?You could do 2 them sew them on each side. If you do it directly on the sweater won't it be on the wrong side for the wearer ?

To make a reversible design you will wind matching bobbin to thread and change bobbin each time you change thread. Use a water soluble stabilizer on both sides or if your design is very dense, you can use a tear-away if none of it will show when finished. I would DEFINITELY do a test stitch to be sure that the back side is as good as the front. I have always been afraid to do this and have taken the garment apart and just embroidered twice on it because when I tested the design that I wanted to use, the back was not perfect.;)

Are you using a redwork design. I would use Vilene under , and wss on top.

I wonder if the material like WSS (Vilene) would work with this. I am curious what the answers will be. Thanks for asking that question. I am not sure either.
