Hi Cuties very sad today. I lost all my designs I had on my computer. I don't know what happened but they just all were deleted. I can get some of them back but not all of them. I am so disappointed.

Take your computer into a good computer store. They have special programmes to extract data from crashed hard drives. An alternative is to Google this problem - I know that there are companies out there that also do this recovery.

I am very sorry, hope you can find your designs, I am always so afraid of this situation, I take a time to make a CD or USB my designs, I do not remember how many CDs I have LOL. Good luck

Thanks for the information. I tried a system restore and my system restore is not working. I have tried everything and nothing work. I have looked everywhere and have not found them. I was going to back up a copy and when I went to do it that is when I could not found any of my designs.

Once I thought my files were lost but apparently I had unintentionally grabbed them and dropped them into another folder. If you can do a search of a name you can remember you may have done the same. I suppose you checked the recycle bin already. Good luck

Angel gave you good information. If restore back to another date doesn't work the designs are still on your hard drive and there are services that can retrieve most of them. There is a wide range of what is charged for this service so it's an option if that is what you want to do and check around for the best possible price. Once you fix your problem Make time to back up your embroidery files, and any other files that are valuable to you and can't be replaced like your documents, pictures, and any downloaded software programs. Copy them to an external hard drive, CD, USB, or try a web storage site. I backup mine plus all my bookmark links and put the date that I did the backup to keep better track. Good luck in rebuilding your design files. I know I would have been shattered if my got lost or deleted.

Oh, I am so sorry for you! I make a backup CD of my designs on a regular basis, because of computer mishaps. Unless your computer is completely "fried", you should be able to do a "system recovery/restore" back to the date/time you still had your designs. Then all that was deleted will once again be restored. I hope this works for you. If you do not know how to do this, get someone that is computer savvy to help you. It is a simple fix to retrieve what you have lost.
Good luck!
