Maderia has wool thread that can be used. Everything else is status quo! Live Laugh Download Stitch!
You absolutely can! Pin, pin, pin and pin. Do not stretch and use WSS on top. As others said make the reverse thread blend in. I had my best results when I stitched again over the first, immediately after finishing the first run. Testing on similar material is a good idea.;)
Thanks for your help and encouragement, I will certainly give it a go. I intend to get lightweight scarves but hard to get in Australia this time of year. I will practice on a woollen cardigan of mine first.
Thanks again
It should work out great. Have you already made the scarves? The only issue will be that on the back side, they will be backwards. For that, I would use a bobbin thread that blends well with the scarf color. You may want to put a topper stabilizer on it if it is a knit type scarf. If it is the fabric type, then it should work fine. If you have any similar weight of fabric to try, then run a test first so you know what to expect. Good luck. Anything is possible; you just have to figure out a good method!!

Thnks again
I have not tried this but why not. For either woven or knitted fabric I would use wws on the top and thinking as I write the reverse too. I have three beautiful silk scarves with my name woven into them and they look great so have fun creating whatever you do. Dont forget to post pictures in projects for us to see. (mental note to self to get some of my work posted...)
